There’s no better way to savor the spooky season than by experiencing Historic Hudson Valley’s Halloween events in Sleepy Hollow Country.

The incredible Great Jack O’Lantern Blaze, the frightening Horseman’s Hollow, the dramatic storytelling of Irving’s ‘Legend,’  The Unsilent Picture (BRAND NEW for 2018!) and the illuminating Home of the ‘Legend’ all draw inspiration from their historic settings and from the region’s connection to Washington Irving and his classic tales.

Visitors looking for an unforgettable Sleepy Hollow Halloween experience will want to find time for more than just one event. Here are tips and suggestions on how to get the most out of your visit, especially if you only have one day to spend in the area.

Note: It is essential to purchase tickets as early as possible. Time slots and entire nights sell out!

Seeing Blaze, Horseman’s Hollow, and Irving’s ‘Legend’ on the same evening
How to do it: Schedule your Irving’s ‘Legend’ experience for the earliest time available, followed by your Horseman’s Hollow entry one hour later, then Blaze at least two hours after your Horseman’s Hollow time slot (leaving time to drive north from Sleepy Hollow to Croton-on-Hudson to see Blaze).

Itinerary examples:

Irving’s ‘Legend’ at 5pm, Horseman’s Hollow at 6:30pm, Blaze at 8:30pm.
Irving’s ‘Legend’ at 6:15pm, Horseman’s Hollow at 7:30pm, Blaze at 9:30pm.

Seeing Blaze and Irving’s ‘Legend’ on the same evening
How to do it: Experience Irving’s ‘Legend’ first, then head north to Blaze, leaving two hours between the event start times. If you plan to attend Irving’s ‘Legend’ at 8:45, you should combine that with a 6:30pm Blaze ticket, but we recommend the below options instead.

Suggested ticket times:

Irving’s ‘Legend’ at 5pm, Blaze at 7pm
Irving’s ‘Legend’ at 6:15pm, Blaze at 8:30pm
Irving’s ‘Legend’ at 7:30pm, Blaze at 9:30pm

Seeing Irving’s ‘Legend’ and Horseman’s Hollow on the same evening
How to do it: The event entrances are within walking distance of each other and the events share a parking lot so it is easy to experience these two in the same evening. We recommend that you schedule your Irving’s ‘Legend’ performance first, followed by Horseman’s Hollow one hour later.

Suggested ticket times:

Irving’s ‘Legend’ at 5pm, Horseman’s Hollow at 6:30pm
Irving’s ‘Legend’ at 6:15pm, Horseman’s Hollow at 7:30pm
Irving’s ‘Legend’ at 7:30pm, Horseman’s Hollow at 8:30pm
Irving’s ‘Legend’ at 8:45pm, Horseman’s Hollow at 10pm

Sunnyside: Home of the ‘Legend’ and evening events
Leave at least 4 hours between when you plan to arrive at Sunnyside: Home of the ‘Legend’ and your entry time at any of the evening events. This gives you time to travel between the events and have dinner in between. (See our guide to area restaurants for suggestions.) If you want to attend more than one evening event, follow our guidelines above.
