Human Resources Manager

Historic Hudson Valley, Westchester County’s largest cultural organization, seeks an experienced human resources professional to coordinate, create, and implement programs, processes and metrics that contribute to a high performance culture and support the achievement of HHV’s business goals. This is a part-time position (25 hrs. /wk.) reporting to the Vice President of Human Resources and Strategic Planning.
- Coordinate talent acquisition, recruitment and hiring processes
- Assess and implement various technologies that improve employee access and efficiency
- Assist with the establishment of an in-house learning and development program
- Assist with the establishment of an electronic performance management system
- Serve as the resident expert in the management of all retirement plans
- Coordinate employee benefit programs and policies
Successful candidates will have a Bachelor degree in Human Resources Management or related field and a minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible leadership experience in human resources. She/he must have deep knowledge of employment law, talent acquisition, compensation and benefits administration, employee relations, retirement plan administration and HR best practices. Advanced skill in Word, Excel, and Power Point; the ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality; and strong problem solving skills are essential. She/he must be a welcoming and effective partner for colleagues and offer supportive guidance to employees. Some weekend, evening and holiday availability in support of public events is required.
