Historic Hudson Valley’s Communications & Commerce Department seeks an experienced, digital savvy Marketing Associate who will help the department increase visibility and awareness for Historic Hudson Valley and the organization’s initiatives, both on-site, online, and in the community.
Traditional lines between marketing, media relations, publishing, and customer engagement are blurring like never before. HHV’s marketing team embraces these changes as a source of growth and employs strategies that take advantage of new opportunities.
The ideal candidate will have three to five years of professional experience with a proven track record in media, marketing, and/or public relations, preferably with exposure to cultural or entertainment organizations, and be a strategic thinker with excellent judgement.
Strong written communication skills are essential, as are strong technical and digital skills including proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, online content and customer relationship management systems, and social media skills. The position will require you to be organized, consistently meet overlapping deadlines, work collaboratively, be flexible, and to be able take direction from and implement strategy set by department heads.
Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to: print collateral production; email marketing; consumer communications; audience research; media relations; providing general administrative support; and photo asset management and editing.
