Library Collections
OVERVIEW: Approximately 20,000 monographs, rare books, and subject files
are held in the library collection of Historic Hudson Valley. These materials
relate to the Hudson Valley region as well as the United States more broadly,
covering diverse subject areas such as art, architecture, biography, cooking,
history, politics, slavery in the north, and women’s studies. The holdings
span from 1529 to the present and include books in English, Dutch, French,
German, Greek, Italian, Latin, Norwegian, and Spanish.

Visit

Library items are housed at the Regional History Center
of Historic Hudson Valley and are available for scholarly
research by appointment only. Please contact the Research

interests and schedule a visit.
