The tri-state area’s biggest, most electrifying fall event
Meander through an 18th-century landscape and discover a breathtaking display of more than 7,000 illuminated jack o’lanterns—all designed and hand-carved on site by our team of artisans! Tour the brand-new Museum of Pumpkin Art, where classic paintings get the gourd treatment, see who let the (pumpkin) dogs out, listen for the Headless Horseman—and watch out for swooping jack o’lantern bats! See the Pumpkin Carousel twirl and the Pumpkin Windmill whirl and step inside the Pumpkin Planetarium for a star show like you’ve never seen. You’ll certainly hold a torch for the 25-foot-tall jack o’lantern Statue of Liberty and get personal with Instagrammable signs of the zodiac.
Complete with synchronized lighting and an original soundtrack, this one-of-a-kind event is not to be missed!
More than 1,000 volunteers help scoop, carve, and light the pumpkins and every single jack o’lantern is hand-carved on site by our team of professional artists.
All proceeds from Blaze and our other Halloween events support the programs of Historic Hudson Valley, a non-profit education organization.

Is photography allowed?
Photography and video recording for personal use are permitted. No tripods, monopods, or drones are allowed on the site.
How long is the Blaze experience?
Most people take about an hour to walk through Blaze. Please allow about 90 minutes for your on-site experience.
Is the event wheelchair accessible?
Blaze is handicapped accessible, as there are no stairs to negotiate through the installation. However, there are some narrow and slightly sloped brick paths and it is a walk-through experience along uneven, unpaved, soft-surface terrain.
Handicapped parking is available, but your car must display a handicapped placard or plate.
Are there nearby dining or hotel options?
We have tasty fall-themed food selections in our visitor tent, courtesy of Geordane’s of Irvington, including soup, chili, donuts, pumpkin pie, and cider (full menu here). We also have a beer stand featuring wine, hard cider, and beer from Captain Lawrence Brewing Company, ranging from $7-9 (bar menu here). There are also many excellent options for dining in the area.
There are also a wide range of hotels to choose from in the area, including Historic Hudson Valley’s Hospitality Partners, DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Tarrytown, Castle Hotel & Spa, and Tarrytown Estate on the Hudson.
Can I go on a sold out night?
Sorry, but when we are sold out, we do not have any tickets at the door. You may consider purchasing a Premier Membership to Historic Hudson Valley, which includes tickets for Blaze that are valid even on sold out nights!
Is there parking at Blaze?
Yes, parking is free and on-site. You may park 30 minutes before your ticket time.
What is your weather policy?
Blaze is held rain or shine. If you elect not to attend, your tickets are neither refundable nor exchangeable. In poor weather, ticket holders should consult local weather forecasts for their own area and make their own determination about whether to set out for the evening’s event.
An event may be canceled by Historic Hudson Valley if, in its sole judgment, extreme weather or other conditions could jeopardize the safety of visitors, volunteers, and staff. Generally, rain, snow flurries, or showers would not lead us to cancel, but extremely heavy rain, thunder, and lightning, very strong wind; blizzard conditions, heavy icing, or a prediction of such conditions could force us to do so. If Historic Hudson Valley determines that conditions warrant canceling an event, we will post a message on our website and voicemail and ask local radio stations to make an announcement.
Are strollers allowed?
Strollers are permitted, but keep in mind that strollers which are particularly wide may not fit through some of the site’s more narrow passageways.
Are tickets refundable?
Unfortunately, there are no refunds, no exchanges, and no credits for future purchases. However, your
tickets can be re-sold, given away, or donated.
Are dogs allowed at Blaze?
Pets are not allowed at Blaze. Service dogs are welcome.
Can I get in early?
Timed ticketing helps us maintain safe hourly visitor counts. Your ticket will be ready to scan and you can enter the event at the time on your ticket.
