The special edition of Belinda is a modern interpretation of one of the most treasured items in our collection at Washington Irving’s Sunnyside. The original doll is related to the Irving family by marriage—formerly a beloved companion to Theresa Romeyn Beck, who grew up to marry Washington Irving’s great-nephew, Cortlandt Irving. She makes appearances during special events and is a wonderful testament to the craftsmanship of 19th-century toymakers and meticulous care for over 150 years.
Belinda will also make an appearance at our Tea Blending Workshop with master herbalist Karine Gordineer on October 26! Delve into the mystical secrets of crafting delightful herbal infusions that tantalize the taste buds at this special one-day workshop.
